Default Google Maps not loading. KNOWN ISSUE!

Gang,

Something is going on with the Google Maps overlay. The entire word "Google" will fill in, but the display will never switch from the Standard maps over to Google. This is a know server-side problem. If you call customer care at (877) 505-2834 you will here a recorded message saying they know about it and are working on it.

At least they put up a recorded message now. I called on Saturday and they said they were getting a lot of phone calls about it. They were expecting that it would be resolved by today. It was still not working for me as of noon. What's actually going on is that they are updating the services for the older vehicles, but looks like they ran into unforeseen issues. It would be nice if they sent out announcements before doing maintenance so at least we know that something is going on w/o having to wonder why things stopped working.

Agreed. Car manufacturers just haven't caught up with the rest of the "tech" industry where patches are announced. They seem to still like to live in the "call your dealer" world. At any rate, I'm glad to know this is a server-side issue and not some MMI failure that was going to cost me a ton....

Default AUDI ALLROAD 3.0 TDI

Hi guys I have the same issue. It started on Friday 13th October (Unlucky for some obviously) I changed the 02 data sim out of my iPad to try that and the same thing happened starts to load and comes up with "Please Wait" and I have ! for about an hour.
The Sim data card is supplied by "3" and it has never missed a beat.
The Audi dealer near me, said book the car in and we run diagnostics £60 and see if they can find out whats going on. I may need the latest Nav software ! Ahhh
So, the dealers don't know about the Google problem !

Gang,

As of this morning, the problem is still not resolved. I checked my S4 this morning and still nothing. The recorded message is still on the Customer Support line.

According to some Audi owners, this issue is now resolved. I'm not at home and cannot test it on my S4 but the automatic recorded message on Customer Service is now gone.
