Install help

Hi all;installing an amp with line level inputs in my 07 S4.The amp has 2 sets of wires coming from the line level input in the back of the amp. and the wiring diagram shows them connecting to 2 rear speakers.If I'm just tapping into the rear sub in my S4,can I just use 1 set,or is it more complicated?Thanks

Why not just tap into the preout already going into the sub amp?

Or if you're lazy then you can just use one side of the speaker input and then set the amp to mono mode.

Thanks for your response.So far all I've done is connect power to the sub.I'm trying to avoid going to the headunit,so I figured I'd just tap into the rear sub for a signal.It is a Sony mono amp.,but the line level connection to the rear of the amp.has 2 sets of wires coming out to connect to 2 rear speakers.I'm only going to tap into the rear sub.So can I just use 1 set of wires?Or will I have to connect all 4 wires to the sub to get the signal to work? Thanks again.

You don't have to go to the HU to tap the pre-outs, they are on the Bose amp

You've got to tap the "remote on" from the Bose amp anyway to get the trigger to turn the Sony on so might as well tap the pre-outs at the same time.
If you really are desperate to use the inferior speaker level input then yes you can, just use left or right then set the amp to mono mode.
