Installing an Alpine headunit

I am currently using the Delta Radio in my A4. I am planning to replace the stock Delta headunit to Alpine headunit. So, I would like to
know if I just replace the headunit what advantage will I get in sound
performance? Do you all know how many watts for the front and rear speakers?

If you have the Bose system there's an external amp that delivers approx. 50 watts per channel. If not I believe the Delta head unit puts out 20 watts to each front channel and the rear channels are driven off of an external amplifier mounted on the left rear speaker. I'm not sure how much power the rears get.

I'm not sure how much of a performance gain you would see with just a headunit upgrade. Many people have added amps and replaced the front components, while keeping the stock Delta headunit and achieved excellent results.

I briefly ran my stock speakers off my Alpine head...

There was a measureable improvement in sound. My unit claims 40x4 which is more than the Delta can put out. If you're gonna do this, make sure you bypass the factory amp on the rear speakers. If not, you'll get clipping at very low volumes. If you're not sold on buying amps and new gear, it's worth a shot to see how you like the sound. If the improvement is good enough for you, you'll save a lot of money. Good luck!
