Ipod/ICE LINK and Sat Radio install done...all work well.
I finally pieced together enough information to determine the pin assigments for the Dension ICE-Link Plus interface. Dension was less than helpful.
The key is knowing the pin assigments so you can connect things up. I needed pins to add to the factory wire harness, and fortuately pins taken from a computer power supply were just the correct size! The pins for the connection to the Sat Radio were smaller and the smaller ones from that same power supply were ok, after drilling out the plug a bit. Wire Assignments....looking at the Dension Ice Link module with the retaining clip on top... (CD Data Clock) (CD Data In) (blank) (blank) (ACC 12v) (CD Ground.) (Left Channel) (Signal Ground) (Right Channel) (CD Data out) (Blank) (+12v) The final thing I have to do is to mount the Dension Ipod Cradle. So run three wires to the trunk to connect to the SAT Radio CD INPUTS, and the rest to the head unit. The pin assigments are well documented on this site, I have to post some pics later, no time right now. It sounds far far far better than the FM modulator connection... Mike |
