MMI works intermittently
I have a 2015 Audi A3. MMI works first thing in the morning. After stopping the car and off for a few hours, I restart and no sound in anything, Radio, GPS, Bluetooth, CD. Took to dealer they replaced antennna charged me 1000 dollars! They thought they fixed the problem because when they tested it, it worked. Yes of course it works if the car has been off. And what would the antenna have to do with the MMI. Also no sound not static. The did refund the 1000 dollars however.
Now the MMI sound will occasionally come back on if the car runs for awhile. Is there a loose connection? How do I fix the problem. Does it need an update. Where is the amplifier? Oh yes the dealership wanted to replace the amp for 4000 dollars. Has anyone else had this problem? Yes and I have done a soft reset and a hard reset by disconnecting the battery. I have not updated the firmware but what would that do?
