...about two days ago my steering column controls gave up, Indicators, wipers & only side lights would come on. Got home (only a short trip), switched off then back on & all seemed fine. Last night, driving home the exact same thing happened only now the car won't start at all!!! Checked all conections, fuses, relays, even tried jumping it with another car incase my battery/alt had knackered itself but absolutely nothing. Nearest VAGcom I know of 70 miles away, not sure if any of the local boys are up to speed. Model is an A4 Avant Quattro Tdi. 1997. P.S. in the UK, Scotland to be exact. Fort William to be even more exact.
