new problem.....
I just installed a completely new system.(see previous post) Now the whole thing is making a high pitch sound. AS the car accelerates..it goes louder. this sounds really cool but gets annoying.
what is it??? how can i fix this.??

It's called alternator noise, a common problem
I'm sure if you look back to previous posts, you will see more info about this. It is because your signal is picking up noise before it is amplified. There are many solutions:
Get a new head unit with high (4V) line-outs
Get a line driver
Get a ground loop isolator (radio shack)
others too.

Or you could try the first troubleshooting step and check the grounds for your system! ;)
Make sure that the ground point has been stripped of all paint and that it is tight. Also double check all your power connections.
You can also try using one ground point for the entire system. This usually is not feasible due to the location of the various components.
You may also want to check to see if you have power lines running right along the signal cables. Sometimes this will cause you to "pick up" the alterantor whine.
