Phatbox install problems

Phatbox install problems
I installed my phatbox today. However, windows doesn't see the cradle/cartrdige.
In the vehicle it works fine it seems, I goto CDC and it will play 2 tracks, 1 the welcome to phatnoise, the other some mellow classical type track.
So I set it up for the symphony with CD with like the guide says. But then when I take the cartridge out and put it in the cradle in windows (I ran the CD and did the install) I put the cartrdige in and I get a green light only for about a second or 2 then no light and nothing. I hear the disk spinning but it never lights up again?
Is the cradle dead? cartrdige?
