Phatbox....which one do I order for my car
 

Just got back from vacation and saw the post for Phatbox. I want to order one but not sure which one to get for my car. I have a B5 A4 1.8TQ. On the site 1stVWparts.com, it shows models for Golf/GTI, Jetta Sedan, Touareg, Passat. Does it matter which one? or will any one do? I read about a different cable that I'll need so I can connect it to the Audi, any info on where I can get that? or does Mr.Bipes make one? TIA...

They are all the same one. Get the Passat one - that's the one i got and it works.
 

Don't forget the interface cable from clairparts.

Awesome. I'm gonna order on Monday. Do you happen to have the interface cable model number so I can order that as well?

These cables are on WORLDWIDE BACKORDER. Impossible to get.
 

If your dealer says they can have it in a couple days, he is probably full of it.

The problem is you can't get the cable from clairparts
 

I bought the VW one also, big mistake. I ordered the cable, been waiting over a week, and I just got an email from clairparts saying they can't get any cables. Their solution is to buy another phatbox from them which comes with the appropriate cable. What a crock of $hit.

i didn't check how quick they can get it. I am thinkin about soldering my own if i can get connector
