Default Q7 MMI Stuck at Initializing. Screen does not go black

Hey all I was hoping someone had insight on this issue. My 2008 Q7 MMI randomly boots up to an Initializing screen, the time is lost (12:00) and not stations available and no sound. If I reboot using 3 button some times I get the correct time but it freezes both time & "initializing" text. The screen doesn't normally go black but it has done that before. This can last a week or 2 then it just randomly starts working again. It will work for several days to a week. I was having an issue of water spilling on my foot (when on the gas pedal) when making right turns. Is there a module near by that would be affected by this? I have searched for this issue but everyone else the screens seem to go black, mine does not. Software issue? I really appreciate any help or ideas anyone has to offer.
