Default Yet another AMI question - 2005 A6

I had searched the forum for the last hour and could not find the info that I am looking for so I am posting the question. I just purchased an AMI MOST (4E0 035 785) off of ebay and installed it today. The cable the unit came with goes from the AMI to usb. I attempted to connect both an iphone and android but received an error message that it would not work with this device. I connected a usb drive with some songs and it saw this and would play the songs. My goal is to have a blue tooth connection. Most everything I read about the AMI cable for my model car refers to an iphone adapter. My question is should I be alright installing a blue tooth device like this one? https://audistream2air.com/products/...da-and-vw-3gen I believe that I have also read that if I do this that the output from the AMI cable will not be able to power the blue tooth adapter and I will have to find another way to power the adapter. Or if I purchased this one would it provide the blue tooth connection and power? https://www.viseeousa.com/collection...-mdi-connector Any input would be appreciated.

Search ebay for:

VW Audi MMI 2G Bluetooth Car Kit AMI Interface Adapter + USB Cable Before 2009

Works for me in my A6 C6 for bluetooth only meaning I cant switch between USB and bluetooth.
It needs the usb for power. I just put in a 12volt to usb adapter in glove box or you can use lighter adapter

Thanks for the reply. I also found that I needed to format the usb drive in the FAT format and not FAT32 in order for the unit to see it every time. With a usb formatted in FAT32 it would only see it about 1 in 10 times.
