Default Detailing

When I collected my car yesterday I was talking to the detailing guys about having my car detailed. Cut a long story short they (Charlie Battisti) charge $90 for a full detail. This includes clay bar entire car, machine polish then hand polish, machine wax then hand wax. I saw a dark blue 3 series bimmer they had just been detailed and the finish of the car was outstanding. There were no visible swirls and none of the tell tale machine polishing swirls. Considering it takes me a good day and around $30 worth of materials I think I might get them to detail my car every 3 months.

Not sure about the rest of you guys, but i actually enjoy detailing my car, even though its a bitch of a job which takes a good two days to complete. wash/clay/wash again/polish/wax x2/vacuum/clean windows/303 interior + outside plastics/polish exhaust tip/clean engine bay/deodorise/step back and take happy snaps

But what do i know, im just a vw'er

Default well you see the only reason why you enjoy detailing is cause your car

is 1/4 smaller than audi and besides its silver its hard to see the swirl marks on silver so so your just up for a quick job

Default Dont talk about swirl marks until you've owned a black car!!

Silver is definately the easiest to keep clean.
