Oil Consumption
Has anyone heard of excessive oil consumption in B6 A4s?
I've got a 2.0 CVT (65000KM) and on the way home tonight the low oil light came on and sure enough it's down to the minimum. It's only 5000ks since the last service and prior to that some oil use was evident - but not much. My (independent) mechanic was not concerned at that time...but now I am beginning to think this could be the start of an expensive exercise...maybe it's time to trade up?

VAG cars do use a bit of oil..
All Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG) cars use a bit of oil.
I'd be a little surprised/concerned if it was low on oil only 5k kms after a service though..
If I were you I'd top it up and keep an eye on it.
