Default VAG MS Peak Performance Eastern Creek Twilight Event Report - Updated

Hello motorsport fans...welcome to first event report of the Volkswagen Audi Group Motorsport Series - namely the Peak Performance Eastern Creek Twilight Event Report.

With a host of Volkswagen, Audi and other exotic European metal present and accounted for, from a jaw dropping black Audi R8, spine tingling RS4, giant killing S3's, mighty MKV R32's to equally captivating European Marques such as Aston Martin, BMW and Ferrari - the first round was something not to be missed.

Unfortunately there were more VAG vehicles in the parking lot than on the circuit however, this just gave competitors the opportunity to have an open, clean, traffic free circuit and pick up some easy series points for the season ahead.

As these events are designed to take `speed' and `inexperience' of the street, launching the series in the middle of a double demerit point long weekend seemed quite appropriate with the majority of competitors taking advantage of the included advanced driver training and professional motorsport coaching from The Driving Solutions Team.

The opening event was made possible by Peak RPM Performance. The Peak Performance Team has not only worked tirelessly to support BMW track day enthusiasts, but European performance enthusiasts as a whole for more years than the VAG MS committee can remember. It is because of people like David Atkins and Nick Peak that these events, and this series is possible.

The Peak Performance team also gave all VAG MS competitors the opportunity to sample the performance gains of a REVO `flash' with free 6 hr program trials - just the thing to give you the edge at the circuit.

The opening round of the VAG MS Series was also lucky enough to have two award winning photographers from http://www.circlework.com.au trackside to record all the heart pounding action of the first round. The Vag MS committee would like to extend a very appreciative thanks to Michael Vettas and Kyle Sharp for their amazing work behind the scenes, despite working under very difficult circumstances there reputation for excellence and creativity was more than reinforced and upheld with a stunning array of perfect `Kodak' moments captured throughout the evening.

We look forward to seeing you all at the Wakefield Park Driver Battle Royale on February 24th and at the lunch time presentation where awards and prizes for the first round will be announced and presented to VAG MS competitors.

In the meantime keep an eye on this thread for lap times and more photographs as they come to hand...
