A6 with black optics package has faded/hazy matte paint on grill
My 2016 A6 with black optics has a problem and I need some advice. I'm not sure when it started, but I noticed over the summer that the matte black center portion of my grill has started to get a haze/foggy appearance. The only thing I can come up with was that the detail shop I took it to over the summer must have waxed everything including the matte portion, but I can't prove it. Regardless of the cause, I'm now stuck with it and need some help figuring out how to fix it. Any advice? I can post a picture later but hopefully my description of the problem is enough.

I was suspecting that the harsh automated car wash soap was leaving some sort of residue or causing discoloration, but if you perform your own washes, I would be asking my dealer to take a look at it. Could just be that the coating is failing.
