ATTN: those with lowered cars ... how do you clean your wheel wells?
 

the rears wheel wells on my m3 are presenting quite a problem -- i can see the dirt in there, but short of putting the car up on a jack, i cannot easily get in there to clean it. spraying water directly in the wells helps but there's a certain amount that's caked on ... arg!

I don't.
 

well, I just stick my spray nozzle between the tire and wheel well and spray it down. gets all the dirt out, but I wouldn't recommend eating off of it. ;-)

It's just a wheel well.

I have the same issue with the TT...
 

I'm going to try some different toilet cleaning brushes this spring when I do the full detail. Before I lowered it I was able to reach in and clean and even apply ERV, they looked great.

Pretty much an infrequent process...
 

only done when the wheels are off. It's my least favorite process...because the results are so small for the effort invested. Still, when all the body panels are shiny, there are three areas where the eyes focus when you look at a freshly detailed car...lower panels/skirts, wheels (even between the spokes), and the inside edges of the wheel well.

I don't think I generally notice other cars' wheel wells unless they're packed with snow or ....

In the winter, I'll occasionally use the high pressure sprayers at the local DIY carwash to wash the salt out of there .... rest of the year I just use the regular hose sprayer to flush it out.

I simple spray up in the wells. Then using an old wash mitt, I reach up and scrub whatever I can reach. I can usually get the liners without any problems.

Take it to a car wash and use the high pressure hose only on the wheel wells. That's the best you're
