I've been buying Meguiar's Gold Class car wash liquid at a local auto supply place for quite a while. They never seem to carry the 64 oz. size, so I've been buying the 16 oz. bottle. I have one in the garage right now, and the stickers says I paid $8.33 for it. The store is convenient for me, so I never gave the price much thought or tried to double-check it. So now a Target just opened near me, and I see the 64 oz. jug of Gold Class there -- $9.99. Holy crap, I was paying 52 cents/oz. for Gold Class, and this is less than 16 cents/oz. That's a huge difference based purely on the size of the bottle, no? Turns out Target isn't deeply discounting it, but rather is simply selling it for the "right" price; Meguiar's charges the same $9.99 for the 64 oz on their web site. But they charge only $5.99 for the 16 oz. (that works out to about 37 cents/oz.) So I've been gouged all this time and never realized it. Now, I realize that I voluntarily paid too much for the 16 oz. bottle and really have only my-uneducated-consumer-self to blame. But if that store is overcharging that much for car wash liquid, I can only imagine what they're overcharging on everything else. I'll think twice before shopping there again.

The target near me sells it for 9.99 per 128oz
I have also recently bought 1z perls, 1z glanz shampoo, and 4 star shampoo (smells great!) just to see if the high end shampoos really make a difference. Haven't had much time to rate them yet, but price wise, they are about 5 times more expensive.
