Car drying tips and water spots
Hi All,
Maybe it's the switch from cotton to microfiber, but I haven't found a good way to dry my car yet. I've tried pre-wetting the microfiber towels and doing the sort of toss and swipe dry and that gets the bulk of the water off, but I still have trouble getting the last remaining bits of water off. What's the best approach to use?
Also - I am seeing what looks like water spots in the paint now- i don't know if that's from my bad drying technique or the fact that my car often sits outside and the typical weather pattern here is rain:sun:repeat. What should I be doing to keep the rain/sun cycle from making additional spots on my car?
The car has been prepped with Zaino Z-AIO Z-2 and Z-CS, with regular applications of Z-7 and Z-6.
Thanks.

Get some microfiber waffle towels... I got same from my local Walmart, 2 for $10 if remember correctly. They work pretty well. I use about 4 of these to dry my car with no streaking.
Also a lot of folks got the “the tag company “ and they have about every type of microfiber you could imagine.
water spots... without going into extreme measures.. Decontaminate the paint with isopropyl alcohol and then clay it... put a nice sealer on it followed by a hydrophobic polish. Should be good as new.
get the 90% isopropyl alcohol and mix 50/50 with distilled water in a spray bottle.

And I only use RO/DI to rinse, but I know that's a little obsessive.

Thanks. Rag company order on the way. Thanks!
I'm pretty sure the water spots I'm seeing are from rain and sun at work. I can clean them off with another round of clay bar and wax, I presume, but what do I do do prevent them? Maybe my Zaino Z-CS isn't enough?
