Ceramic for windows ?
I haven't tried ceramics yet. Will it help keep the grime off my wife's SUV's rear window? Or at least make it easier to clean? Does it help with snow removal?
Can these be applied by the average car owner or do you need special equipment or a pro?
What product do you recommend?

The coatings I have heard of for window's are Gtechniq.
1. Gtechniq G4&G5- I applied this myself to my wife's car, not overly fun and last a couple of months. I personally think in my first application I rushed it, and needed to apply more of the coating. Either way I think I am going to upgrade to their G1 coating. This is supposed to help with making bugs, tree sap, ice and etc easier to remove as well as enhanced water repellency.
2. Gtechniq G1- This is professional recommended application, though there are install videos showing the install if you feel up to you (install:
). This is long term. Gtechniq states it lasts 1-2 year's, many people claim 3 year's of use out of it. Like G4&G5 it assisted with making bug gut, tree sap and other things that can get stuck to glass easier to remove along with enhanced water repellency; however this is more robust in how effective it is.
