Default CQuartz and water spots

Hi all - I just got CQuartz professional done on a brilliant black Q5. (Brand new 2018). We had a light rain that dried on the car while I was at work.

CQuartz is 3 weeks Old so rather new.

I washed it it today by hand and noticed while drying the water spots didn’t come out. But invented its dried you can’t see them unless you run the moist micro fiber drying towel across the car. So I know there there.

What do guys recommend? Should I hand wash with more pressure? Use some product? I have reload but I’m waiting for my pro micro fiber towels to come in before I apply it so I don’t scratch things.

I dont want want to use any product that will reduce the life of the CQuartz.

Thanks in advance!

Since the application is fresh I would ask the shop that did it what are the options. I have CQuartz Pro on my 911 and not have had issues with water spots. However, the car is a lighter color so may not be apparent.

I use Reload every 2 months as a topper coat to the CQuartz. Its great stuff and can do the whole car in 15 minutes

You can wash the car using CarPro Reset, a shampoo formulated for ceramic coatings. That should do the trick. If the water spots are still there, you can use CarPro Spotless or Kamikaze water spot removers.

Water spotting is a bit more common with ceramic coatings, it's one of the rare downsides to otherwise great products.

For a proper maintenance wash on ceramic coated vehicle, you can watch my video tutorial here:

Water-spotting is an unwanted side effect with some of these coatings.

Isn't CarPro's RELOAD supposed to help? I thought that was a partial cure...
