First wax after repaint

I had my 1988 audi 90 repainted Tornado Red about six weeks ago and have not touched the paint at this point except to wash it. Can it be waxed at this point? And should it be glazed beforehand? Have a bottle of 3M glaze and Meguiars carnuba. Good combination? Paint shop claims they put a clear coat on. Was not a cheap Maaco job and you can tell the difference. The paint shop said they could buff it after 30 days for $100. Will I get as good results doing it by hand myself? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Prolly don't need to glaze it. But I would wax it at the minimum.

Might want to dbl check on the curing time for the paint... [m]

but if the shop says that they'd detail it after 30 days, I'd assume that you'd be fine to wax it. Glaze might be overkill at this point, as it's really ment for 'rejuvination.' But if your paint it cured, you won't hurt it by trying.

I use One Grand Blitz Wax. Meguires always dulled my german paint.
