Default Getting ready for my next DD order for polishing/waxing and need some advice.

I am looking for some polish/wax for my new car. It's an '05 but only had 5800 miles on it and appeared to be well cared for as the finish was pretty flawless. I'm looking for some products to remove the light swirls/scratches from the clear coat and then wax. I'm hoping to just do two steps (one polish and one wax). Keep in mind I'll be applying the products BY HAND. I'm thinking of Menzerna PO 106FA or Menzerna PO85RD and the einszett Glanz Wax. Any thoughts? If any one is intersted, the car is Yellow.

I wanted to attach some pics but I'm currently out of town because my dad had a heart attack in Atlantic City, NJ and I had to drive up here to help out my Mom.

I'm also going to be looking to do my Audi, which is probably going to require an additional polish and perhaps something to fill in some scratches. I'll be doing a little more research on that. It may require a clay bar. I'll have to take a closer look when I get home.

Thanks for any help!

*edit* Found a pic in my e-mail. It doesn't help. :-p

I'd recommend getting a machine to remove any swirls.

Not sure about boxster but the B5 A4 paint is very hard.

It barely budge with Flex3401 + Menz PO106FF. I had to go to Meg105, Menz IP then Menz PO106FF before I am happy with the result.

If you are in Seattle area, I'll give you my EZ creame Glaze from Chemical-Guy. Only use it once and not happy with it, so I can't recommend hiding swirls(the glaze breaks down and hazing up the look IMHO)

Default 106 & 85rd will do almost nothing by hand!

They take some time with a PC, I would not even waste your time.

If I were to do a car totally by hand that needed some work, I would use a polish with some fillers & a wax with some fillers.

Zymol HD & glaze will work, so will Swisswax Cleaner fluid & wax

Then on the cheaper end, 1Z metallic polish & wax, then Glantz.

Really cheap, the crap Zymol in the blue bottle that most local retail stores have.

Default you can use Einszett Paint Polish and finish with Einszett Glanz

and you should get some good results by hand.

LMK if I can further assist you.

Default Thanks for everyone's advice, looks like there's a flex in my future, although I'll take Phil's

suggestion in the short term.

Hopefully, I'll have some better pics to post soon. ;-)

Thanks!

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind when I'm ready but I'm going to have to wait on the flex.
