Default p21s drying towel vs. water blade

folks,

for the past year, i've been using the p21s drying towel to dry my car. although it requires a lot of effort and time, i've stuck with it because the car looks good when i'm done and, most importantly, it has not scratched my car.

however, i keep hearing about the california water blade, and i'm almost to the point of giving it a shot. are there any folks out there who've done the switch from the p21s towel to the water blade? how do they compare? have you had any problems with hairline scratching with the blade (due to sand/grit getting lodged on the edge of the blade)?

thanks!

I use both - start with the blade to get most of the water off and finish up with the P21S

Default I am the reverse.

I started off with California water blade and bought the P21S drying towel couple weeks ago. Haven't used it yet because the weather hasn't been really suitable for car detailing for the past few days.

Default I use the blade first...

...then finish with a towel. The blade works great for removing most of the water from the hood, roof, windows, doors, etc. I've never had a problem with scratching. Good product.

Default Neither

I use 100% terry cloth towels, why, well because with synthetic towels dirt etc can get trapped in the towel and scrape along the car, since the synthetics have no nap.

Yes, they just aren't nappy enough.
