Removing scratches on leather steering wheel

Hello--I usually hang out on the A6 forum. I've searched and am having a tough time finding info. I have some scratches from rings or fingernails on the bottom of my A6's leather steering wheel...any advice on removing or smoothing them out? Thanks in advance.

I don't think there is much you can do...

You can certainly clean and condition the leather. That will improve the appearance a bit...however it will be like putting lotion over a cut on your hand. The lotion won't do much for the cut...just make it a little less ugly.

This is what I tried after posting this morning...

I had another piece of leather and I used to buff or smooth out the marks...it seemed to work. I used Audis leather cleaner then lotion and it smoothed the scratches out and I could barely feel them. We'll see if it lasts.

You can try very fine sandpaper

no!

Sadle soap, or a burnishing wax will take care of it. Go see a shoe repair man

I also recently encountered such a problem as scratches on the steering wheel, but somehow I came across a site with covers for the steering wheel (https://gadgets-reviews.com/review/823-best-steering-wheel-covers.html). I decided to find out the price, color, but when I saw the case with rhinestones, I immediately fell in love, but it costs very little
