Scratches... scratches... scratches
 

So it looks like someone rubbed up against my A6 right below the trunk. They are not super deep but very noticeable against the dark green paint.

Any recommendations?

Noticible but able to feel grooves when running your fingernail over it?

just barely

I've had great results with Menzerna SIP or IP. I would give a try with either one.

You should be able to get most of that out without any problems.
 

The deeper ones, that you can slightly feel with your fingernail will be much better but may not get out 100% of it.

A buffer is the only complete solution because you have damaged the top lacquer layer. After that you need to invest in some type of protective cover that you place over the bumper area when loading items into the boot (trunk). Note. Thickness of top lacquer layers is usually in the range of between 1.5 – 2.0 mils (35 – 50 microns).

If you have a polisher this is some good stuff to use. After I did my Q7 last year with this, I cancelled my membership at the local car wash and just started hand washing mine. It removed all the scratches from those so called soft brushes.

Why not just go for a car detailing service? I can recommend the two best car detailing shops here in Perth. You can reach out to them by going to these websites https://diamondfinishcardetailing.com.au/ and https://mobilecardetailingperth.com.au/. I hope you can find a way to get rid of those scratches ;).
