Temp Bra/Painter's Tape

Hi,

I am picking up a new TTRS this weekend. Needless to say I am very excited!!
I have a 300 mile trip back home. I will have PPF applied then.
I have seen painter's tape used as a temp bra.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best brand?
Or are there any other products out there that anyone has used?
It will be left on for 48-72 hours max.
Temps will be in the low 30's. Interstate speeds.

Thanks a bunch!

If you have to put tape on your car use something like this https://www.detailedimage.com/3M-M64...P786/36-mm-S2/

I have used it before to tape of areas before using a buffer, and I have left it on for about 48 hours at a time. To be clear I have not driven a car in this stuff, but I have gotten better results from 3m automotive tape over something like painters tape for detailing work on my cars. This does not leave any real adhesive residue behind like painters tape can when it is left on in warm temps. Another option would be to leave your TT RS wrapped up with how it was delievered. If you are doing PPF than your detailer will probably prefer that you drive the car wrapped up as opposed to letting the dealership unwrap it.
