1995 A6 Quattro Brake Failure, after driving through a puddle.

I live in North Dakota, and we actually have warm weather, so the snow is melting, thus lakes in the middle of the road....long story short...

I drove through a puddle of water going 20 MPH, and my brakes don't work at all...when I turn the car off and pump the brakes there is pressure, but once I start the car, the pressure releases and the brake is back to the floor. There is a very slight pressure when applying the brakes when the car is running.....anyone have any ideas on the top of their head of the issue???
