2016 A4 is it necessary to "reprogram" electronic parking brake
 

When replacing the rear Rotors and brake pads, is it necessary to "reprogram" the electronic parking brake? From what i can tell, you need to deactivate the brake and then reactivate after replacing taking all of about 5 mins but I'm not aware of any need or function to re-program the brake.I suspect it's just BS from the Audi service centre to extend the labor hours charge, but would appreciate some input form you guys too
