Aftermarket Brake Pads
Anyone have an aftermarket brake pad to recommend in lieu of the factory Audi pads? I'd like a little more stopping power and of course less dust. But I don't want to chew up the rotors either. The car is an '08 Audi A5 (B8).
Thanks in advance. ortone

My strong suggestion is to stay roughly OEM. Stopping power is, to me, irrelevant because it is not a limiting factor - press harder, get more stop. Heat is the limiting factor, and for that you will LOSE initial friction. Dust is largely a by-product of friction.
I went the route of Hawk HPS once. What a fiasco. They achieve what you want, but via a chemical deposition onto the rotor. If that layer is inconsistent, let's just say the results are disastrous. Never again.
Some like the Centric Posi-quiet pads, which are OEM like.
Some people like ceramic, but they generally have very low ultimate performance - e.g.: they wont survive high temperatures. So what's the point?
