Default B8 s4 rotors stuck

Trying to take my rotor off to get it resurfaced but it won't budge. Already tried wd40 and banging on... Complete caliper and carrier are off, any suggestions...?.

front or rear?
Rear may be hung up onparking brake. Check.

Any of them *can* rust themselves to the hub - but a rubber mallet usually breaks them free.

Say more.

If there is a set screw, is it removed?

reasonable question, but i've never seen one on an Audi. not my 95 A6, not my 2000 S4, not my 2002 S6. The damn rotors spin when you take wheels on and off!

Its the worst! My B5 A4 had holes drilled for a set screw heres the genuine Audi/vw rotor.

Looks like the B8's have a hole drilled for them too.

If theres no screw installed, like you said a rubber mallet and some love should get them off!

If the screw is taken out give it a few hard hits with a hammer and get yourself some new rotors. I'm pretty sure it's not recommended to resurface B8 s4 rotors after going through a set of pads.
I don't think you'll have much more than minimum recommend spec after resurfacing.

If you insist on staying with the same rotors soak the hub with some PBblaster and give it a few minutes to penetrate. Then give it a few good hits with a mallet.

No need to replace rotors.
Agree - never resurface them ( i'll skip my long rant on why)
Try to hit them with something rubberized. You wont hurt the rotor any, but you could hurt the wheel bearing.

No one answer my question re: front or rear. Rears have the handbrake holding the rotor (but courtesy says answer the question anyway)

Put some anit-seize or grease on the rotor/hub mating point.

Juts because the rotor has a hole drilled does nto mean the hub has the threaded end to meet it.

Rotors are often muti-application.
