Fluid leaking out caliper seal & brake noise?
I have a odd brake noise coming from the rear brakes, its not a screech and it isnt loud. It sounds like the pad is scuffing against the rotor intermittently (even when i dont apply the brakes). I know it isn't the rotor or pads b/c i just replaced them 3 days ago.
Inspected my rear driver's side pads and calipers yesterday and the backing plate of the brake pad had brake fluid on it, the piston also had small traces of fluid, placed my finger around the piston seal and it seemed loose and wet.
I know that i can repair the seal with a repair kit but my question is, could a leaking piston seal be the cause of my intermittent brake noise?
My other question is, can an unfixed piston seal in the caliper cause the rotor to warp?
Sorry for the long story, I just want to describe my issue as accurately as i can. Thanks in advance for any help.
