Horribly squeaky brakes
Hey all,
I just had my brakes done a couple months ago and asked the guy to put ceramic pads and rotors on my Q5 all the way around. On literally the second or third day I had the new pads and rotors, I felt they were super sensitive for being “ceramic”. Also, a ton a brake dust was coming off of them. Long story short, the mechanic put cheap Napa steel pads and rotors on the Q5, when he was supposed to put Red Stuff ceramic pads and rotors. They make horrible howls and screeches every time I hit the brakes.
Keep in in mind this is not the dealership, and a small shop. What do you suggest I do?
Any suggestions is much appreciated!
Cheers,
Peter

Still have a receipt? What did you pay for? If you paid for the higher end and got standard pads then go back and speak with the service manager to see if they will correct the situation. If they tell you no then way the options of speaking with a small claims attorney vs cost of getting them done with a different shop. It’s sucks that they screwed you but weigh your financial options.
