Can anyone recommend a good brake pad upgrade for my 04 A6 4.2?

Default Can anyone recommend a good brake pad upgrade for my 04 A6 4.2?

I think the stock brakes are very good, but I'm looking for a slightly better performing pad that causes less brake dust accumulation on the wheels.

Default EBC Green

EBC Green is a very low-dust pad with a fairly high coeff of friction. It is strictly a street pad however, do not try to track it.

Default Look at the new Hawk Ceramic pads.

Haven't used them myself, but the new Ceramics claim to be low dust and high performance. The way they do that is the dust from the ceramic pads is very light in color and not as noticable as the black dust from organic or metallic pads. It's also very easy on the wheels.
