HI,need new pads, i have a good mechanic to do the job. but not sure on the
VAG-COM. does the mechanic must have the computer for a brake job?
will be happy for info. thanks

HI to all, my mechanic install new original Audi pads on front and rear wheels.
total cost 570$ ( parts and work) . but few facts
1. once the sensor light is on ( brake pad) you have only 1-1.5 mm left.
do the work ASAP, if not you will have to replace also the rotors ( $$)
2 .for the use of the VAG-COM computer, if you only do the front pads, no need for computer, but for the rear ones you need one , because you will need to remove the electronic hand break. ( my mechanic who is a master mechanic in one of the 3 big German company's ( not Audi) did it without computer, he is smart). i am sure at dealer it will cost me much more then 570$.
