Default I have 18's,.. If they were 18.1" they would be too big for the the drive in along Kingston Rd...

But I cringe each time i hit a rut or go perpendicular over streetcar tracks. the 17 stockers are too small.. I think 18 are the perfect balance of astetic appeal and performance.

Default So...

18's are better than 17's but 17 3/4 would be hypothetically perfect for a B5?

Then maybe 18's are perfect for a B6 where there's an extra 1/2 inch of rubber?

Default in summer time, just do the 19s. you won't regret it. i was thinking 18s all along but

my inner self said 19s 19s 19s. but since i got them, i am in love all over again. to me i can't really tell the difference between 17s on lowered susp. vs. the ride quality with 19s. just make sure you have good tires and at the right pressure. you'll be fine. good luck.

Lots of pictures in my PicPoster....17s vs. 19s

I drive T.O. and the even crappier Hamilton roads, 19's are fine, and look WAY better.

Default I just got 17's for Montreal roads...

to be honest I thought the ride was going to be much worse then it really is. My main reason for 17's was my fear of ride quality (too harsh) since I have a young child and an infant.

I would probably opt for 18's given the opportunity again, then again I haven't taken care of my suspension yet so that might change my perspective on things.

And this from a Montreal lister I doubt your roads are worse then ours!

I'm already on 17's but I'm wondering if I should go 18 or even 19.

Default werd. I drive the war torn streets of Detroit on 19s

and so far so good. You just have to be careful, that's all.

If you want performance and looks then 18s are your best bet since 19" Millies would be too heavy and would affect off the line acceleration.
