Alberta peeps, do you know if we have a lemon law?
My Father in Law's Suzuki Aerio is in the shop for the third time with a CEL. The first time they replaced the thermostat, and the CEL came back. The second time they reprogrammed the ECU, and now the CEL is back. They can't seem to find out what is causing it.
Thanks, Rob |
It there a 'Lemon Law' anywhere in Canada?

HAHAHAHA this is Alberta
Lemon Laws lol. It's like the Wild West out here. Every man for himself. The government doesn't care about Albertans.

No

Try CAMVAP

I think Afretes has a photo showing how to make your own Lemon Law
|
That is what I thought.
|
No, we don't.

All boils down to the dealership
Case in point: my 1.8T spun a crankshaft bearing on the third day. Took a few attempts to convince Agincourt that there was a problem. Once I proved it (recorded the awful clicking noise using my work laptop as the sound would come and go), they approached me with the idea of replacing the vehicle, even though it was a lease.
