Not the kind of guy I would call a "wanna be". His Avant is one of the nicest and in no way he's trying to "copy" the S4. It's another fabulous A4 wagon, that's what it is

i would have to check my files for the brand, but price-wise it was around $200 w/ taxes... $120 for the back windows done before delivery and then $50 for the front windows done at a later stage...

as i was driving along in downtown traffic last night, i went by a Silver B6S4 Avant and felt kind of weird... the guy followed into my lane and followed me for about 10 blocks or so and all along i was thinking "damn i hope he doesn't think i drive the same car as he does..." then again he probably didn't even care, i.e. he might not even have been as enthusiastic about the brand/car as we folks are...

now i never understood that all "wanna be" thing... and the negative comments people gets b/c they put an S4 bumper/brake...whatever on an A4...

i've got a 1.8T and i'm very happy with it...
do i wish i had an S4? sure... who wouldn't?
the Recaro seats are just amazing, the one-tone black/ebony interior looks great, the bumpers looks way nicer than the A4s and so on and so on... and what to say about the engine and assoicated performances...

but in the end do i want to, can i afford to, do i need to spend $75,000+ on a car? no that's just crazy money...
i know it's might sound stupid, but i'm more comfortable spending what i've spent so far over a 1.5 year period than spending that much and actually more in just one shot...
plus eventhough the S4 perf numbers are nice, i don't really need that...

give me a 1.8T engine in an "S4 shell" and i'll be in heaven... well almost, i'd still have to change a few things though...

oh and finally to whose who wonder if "show" is more important to me than "go"... well the answer to that is pretty much obvious, isn't it...
"go" is nice, but what would i do with it? the power the 1.8T delivers despite what everyone says is more than enough to get you/me around... i don't auto-X, and even if i was i'd first and foremost try to improve my driving skills before anything else...

a faster car doesn't make a better driver... but a nicer car can get hotter chicks... lol...

obviously you haven't paid attention or haven't even bothered reading my post below... so go on and loose yourself...

and if you care to known although obviously you don't... i never really liked the front bumper, so yeah on that aspect the car didn't look good...

and finally... just btw you and i... what the heck do i care what you think...
