...and it wasn't even his carrera, as I understand it! Hopefully Lewis took the **** out of him - so
he can eat his words today.
No hate-on for Lewis, but his interview about the incident had me picking up my jaw!

Er, Lewis qualifed 0.6 seconds ahead of number 2 man, Kimi!
That is an age in F1 qualifying. The error was made by the team in not notifying Hamilton of the safety car string passing the pit lane. The driver cannot be expected to charge out of the pits and stop right away.
Once Lewis was behind Kimi at that stop he needed to be cautioned by his team not to press.
Also, what was with the two lane pit lane? Kimi had no business being there anyway, he should have been behind Kubica.
I agree that the decision to put the safety car in was a bad one. Whiting doesn't often make gaffes like this but he did screw up the race big time. Sutil's car could have remained there for the duration without an issue.

Smell the roses. Qualifying times are performance issues related as much to car setup as driver.
Massa still has the most polls this year.
Hamilton is being vilified even in Britain. The Daily Mail: "Shame on you, Lewis, not for an exhibition of driving which would have cost you your no-claims bonus on the streets outside your Geneva home, but for a lack of contrition."
Jackie Stewart said: "When he looks back in four or five years he will question himself about what sort of person and driver he was in 2007 and 2008," Now that's a major slag.
