Default Are you a gambling kind of person ?? ...

It has been proven that winter tires provide better traction AND reduce stopping distances. Unless you don't get snow or wet conditions with freezing temps, why would you want to compromise. The difference of a foot or two when trying to avoid something or someone could be the difference between avoiding a major headache and not.

I've been running snows on my car and was able to compare my B5 with winter tires to another B5 with all seasons ("no seasons" IMO). Frankly, the difference was night and day. If you find a used set of wheels with winters, you'll be better off than what you have now and will likely be able to sell them down the road to recoup half of what you paid (I did exactly that). Good luck !

Quattro has nothing to do with stopping. Snows are required.
