What do you mean? any player can be connected via USB, or even via BT.

I have tried connecting ipod 3rd gen, MMi says not compatible, the USB has the music however the folders are not in sequence

Strange, I use my iPhone as a source of music, with my iTunes library and it looks great. Is your library properly organized?
