Yesterday I brought my car to the dealer, they told me I have to leave the car there because on the '99 A6 there are faulty bumpers, apparently they are all on recall, whats up with thaT?
And they are changing some beams on my passenger door (also on recall) Anyone ever hear of this or have it happened? (I bought my car in Brossard, Quebec) Apparently this fualt is on all pre-02 A6

The recall is about the fact that some idiot pull to far on curbs in parking lots and when they back up, the underside of the bumper pull off. Anyway, they should have explained that to you at the dealer. For more info, do a search on the A6 forum. It's been discussed a lot.

But I still think it a BS recall. I mean, if you drive carefully, you'll never have problem. But the recall is done so that you'll never have problem with that, even if you pull over a curb.
