n95 8GB = hit
Picked it up from Rogers a couple of weeks ago. Certainly an upgrade from my 3-yr-old Razr. This thing does everything (3G, EDGE, GPRS, WiFi, Bluetooth, IR, GPS)... The 5MP camera is surprisingly good for photos and 30fps video, and the built-in stereo speakers are very impressive. It's prolly the best smartphone out there right now (for the next 15 minutes anyway, lol)
Comparisons to the iPhone are inevitable, but the current iPhone does not touch this thing in functionality, and the new iPhone only comes somewhat close. I prefer the non-touch screen, anyhow. The software is not as easy as the iPhone (what is?) but manageable.
Though the n95 is pretty light, it's a bit bulky. Still, it's well worth it.

Wipe those greasy fingers! ;-)
Actually hubby loves his iPhone, but he's not a texting fool like me. That's the primary thing I use my phone for, so I have the most basic Nokia kiddie phone. I can text anywhere by feel of the buttons alone.
I have to dispute that the N95 is better than the iPhone though. Hubby brought one home for us to play with (it was being passed down through management - nobody wanted it). It was so complicated to use compared to the iPhone - requiring use of the owner's manual and going online for additional instructions to set it up. Nokia may have updated things since, but for example, to import songs to the Nokia we had to put each individual song into a file and send it to the phone. On the iPhone you pick a folder and dump all the songs into that at once and import it. Now granted hubby works for Apple, but this was just after he got the iPhone, so we weren't familiar with either. And note that I prefer phones with real buttons.
Oh, and the camera on the iPhone totally blowz! :-D

The n95 needs to be compared with the new iPhone for it to be fair.
I love the iPhone software, it's totally intuitive and easy, but what's the point of all the eye candy when you can't see it from behind your own fingers? That irritates me.
Besides, I'm a tech geek so the Nokia software is a welcome challenge.
