So I walk through this parking lot on the way to my office from where I park my car. Yesterday I saw this woman in this white sedan sitting in her car lighting a cigarette with her car door wide open --and the door was propped right against the door of the car next to hers. Her door didn't even have a nice round edge; it had this trim that came to a point right at the edge of the door. That point was sticking right into the door of a maroon Lexus.

I didn't do or say anything... and I had my digital camera with me but i didn't take a picture. ...Probably should have, though. The Lexus was old and already not in great exterior condition, so maybe nobody cares but me.

I am passionate about taking care of my own car, but not other people's cars (some of them just don't care, and that's their perogative).

However, when people are neglectful to the pooint where it compromises everybody's safety (most notably my own), then I become "passionate".

I have no problem confronting people when they have no logical basis from which to refute my argument, and this would have been such a case. The only arguable response would have been, "I own both of these cars, and I don't give a damn about either one."

How much room there was when he parked next to your car? The vehicle on the other side of his may be long gone by the time you get back to your car.

If there was also no space on the other side, the guy shouldn't be trying to jam his car into the spot. If there was plenty of space, then he's an idiot.
