That means you jumped the green :)

IIRC, times under .200 or .300 are treated as false starts in eliminations.

Hmm, I wondered about that. I was leaving just at the 3rd light and getting

reaction times of .300 - .400 and wondering how the hell it was possible to get it down without blatantly leaving early.

So, is it the wrong focus to get the reaction times down lower than .300? To make it "fair", should everyone have been waiting to see the green even if that meant .800 reaction times?

IIRC, someone there (not Phoenix) was boasting about how he was leaving at the second light....if I could only remember who that was.

Reaction times aren't relevant unless you're doing eliminations

They aren't factored into your 1/4 mile time in that mode. You can sit at the light for 2 seconds and take your time, and you'll still get the same slip (except R/T) as if you launched at green.

I've got a few slips where I left behind the other guy, finished behind the other guy, but have a faster 1/4 mile time.

That does make it confusing though...when does the R/T ticker start then?

On the first bulb?

R/T is difference between green light illuminated, and car leaving the trap

1/4 mile timer starts when car leaves the trap, at least on the test and tune setup.
