Preciuously porsted: Oil leak: allroad 04/99k km- repaired, valve cover gaskets where replaced for
$600 at the local shop.

$600 for 2 valve cover gaskets?!!! SWEET JESUS!
Did they have to pull the engine out and send it back to Germany?
Not too long ago, one could have bought a decent used car for that kind of money.
Glad you got it going, at least.
No damage to internal parts, I take it? You didn't completely run out of oil, did you?
Did the local Audi dealer stock parts for the V8 Allroad?
