Default Snowblower

This pesky winter had me all bummed out from shovelling. Went to Home Depot, Canadian Tire, and many internet sites....the consenses was LOL at me and say maybe you can find one in September 2009.

Everyone bought a snowblower this year. Sales were 300% over 2007. Guess I was the last to find out.

ANYWAY...when nothing exists, start looking at high end. Sure enough the big Honda was available. So although it is about 2 times more than I wanted from cub cadet...no way in hell I am going another week without a blower.

This machine is a lethal weapon around snow.

Default a comment....

If you don't mind, please post your experiences with it, or drop me an email. I've been looking at that exact model and was looking for some more insight. Found the same experience, but that even those were sold out, would need to order one for next year's shipment.
That model and even the one below it(HS928TA) get pretty good comments and write-ups.
Thanks

Default I understand your pain. After shovelling three times in two days....

I said its time for SB, I work for HD so finding one wasn't too difficult. I picked up the Ariens 520. So far it works great, no regrets with this purchase at all.

Default Re: a comment....

It gets delivered this Saturday. I'll comment after the next big snow fall. Check the 4 or 5 utube videos of it in action. Blows snow over a house.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHNLbAW6j7k</a

Default Single stage, specs can be found on the website....

I used it yesterday with the heavy wet snow, it performed beautifully. I wish I bought one years ago!

I won't be back to work until Jan 5th, call me then and I'll search the GTA for available units if any.

http://www.ariens.com/products_snow/s_compact_520ec_overview.aspx</a

Default I leave Sunday for 3 weeks, if you find one, I won't pick it up until Jan 21st...

Would that be ok?
