What is your time worth?
I drove by several stations last night that had long lineups for "cheap" pre-price-hike gas. At some stations people apparently waited as long as 45 minutes.
This got me thinking: on a full tank for an average car (~60L) you would be saving about $8 by filling up last night versus this morning. Is 45 min of your time worth more or less than $8? I am not talking about what you earn, but in terms of what value you have for your own time. At what point does $8 become good value for you? 10 min? 30 min? (I decided not to wait at all, apparently even 10min of my time is more precious to me than $8.) |
My logic also - don't see the rational in driving half way across town..
to save a few cents per liter or waiting in line.
What does my 'impatience' cost me? About $2.00. |
My time is worth $750/h for ugly bishes and $10/h for pretty ones.
Personally I wouldn't wait more than 5 minutes for gas.

My sanity is worth much more than a penny-pinching $8. I drink more than that in coffee everyday.

I go to...
Shell every time for my V-Power, and due to the fact that it's not in the middle of a town, and it's the closest one to me at Trafalgar and Steels, I pulled right in and filled up. While at Petro down the street from me, people were lining up on the street. All I have to say is...HA HA

lol. that certainly puts things in perspective

I don't think it's "impatience" -- the thing about time is that you can never buy it back.
You will never be able convert that $8 back into 45 minutes. That time is gone forever.

Agreed! I was lucky - 10 minute wait! Had to go out for milk anyways though
|
Ugly bishes are around ~10 tanks of gas? Hm.
