Why were all the R8s sporting Alberta plates, and why were most of them ZZZ Euro cars??.....

Default Why were all the R8s sporting Alberta plates, and why were most of them ZZZ Euro cars??.....

I wonder what will happen to the Euro cars later whan Audi is done with them... I hear most of them get crushed because of the hassle of shipping back to motherland... any input?

Default they were probably pre-production models

all car companies use them for testing and shows etc etc..
Yeah and sadly they are crushed when they are done with them.

There were SIX of them at Mosport. Or was it seven, at any rate, almost a million dollar worth of R8s there!

Default Aparently they're the same cars that were in Germany when I was there...

press cars and test cars will sadly get crushed : (

They all had early 250-350 VIN range. Pretty sad.

There were seven. Five were Euro ZZZ cars and two were North American.

Default I was sad to see them driven so slowly, wish someone would drive the snot....

out of them. Get McNish in there for few hot laps, see what this thing can really do.
None of that putting around crap.

Yeah, but why Alberta plates? I thought Audi headquarters were in Ajax?
