Why would you pay $72K for a non certified car at Luxury Motors?

I'm surprised it's $72K used. It's an Audi. Go figure.

I wouldn't buy my own car from Luxury if I had just traded it in 5 minutes prior.

Default Sorry if my comment bugs you.

But they would bring thier cars to Laurel when I worked there so I have a good idea of what goes on.

Default No big deal. I just bought mine from them, and it is without issues based on...

...subsequent Audi-dealer inspection for extended warranty.

I have absolutely no doubt that cars WITH issues have passed through that place (and probably most other dealers, I suspect), however I can only speak authoritatively to one car: mine. (That said, there's another local RS6 owner with experience at this dealership that matches mine.)

One senior Audi person told me that much of the antipathy toward Luxury Motors is simple jealousy beacause that dealership has figured out how to do something no other local dealership does. Who knows? It does strike me that flogging "CPO status" is somewhat self-serving since many RS6s (at least) are relatively low mileage and have multiple years remaining on the comprehensive factory warranty. If it can be established prior to purchase that the car is within warranty, some of the anxiety is reduced, I think. And as I did, purchasing a solid private extended warranty (in my case, through an Audi dealership and reasonably competitive with CPO from a coverage standpoint) can further reduce anxiety.

As always, though: Caveat emptor.

Default No jealousy on my part.

I have nothing to do with sales, and regardless of who sells the car if it's under warranty it's coming to one of the dealers for service regardless. That being said, if you're car is all good then that is great. I can only speak from my experience while at Laurel fixing many of car for them.
