So far . . .
hood = trashed
front bumper = destroyed
AvantGarde grill = mauled beyond recognition
S4 Ecodes = disfigured
HID Bulbs = burninated
EFK = annihilated
Radiator = fvcked
Engine damage = not yet assessed
and the kicker:
frame = bent - DOH!!!!
Looks like the car will be in the shop 3-4 weeks. SOB! Too bad the airbags didn't deploy - that MIGHT have been enough for them to total the damn thing. GRRRR!

well one way to look at it....
new EFK, new E-codes w/ brighter xenon bulbs, new bumper (OEM RS4), new grille, carbon fibre hood.....
i mean, it sucks, but you have to look on the bright side
if the frame is bent i'd look to have the car totalled.

I suppose . . .
but since my car was from the old 2-piece halogen era . . . insurance will NOT pay for 1-piece housings or ecodes, nor will they pay for ANY part of the HIDs (bulbs or ballasts).
Additionally, I have SO much $$ tied up with work expenses, there's no way I can chip in any extra $$$ (on top of my already high deductable) to upgrade to a CF hood.
And finally, there's no way I'm going with any aftermarket bumper . . . as then I'd have to do skirts and rear valence (neither of which I'm willing to do).
I'll TRY to have them total it (more info will be avail. on Wednesday) due to the frame damage. The last car I owned that incurred frame damage NEVER drove the same again.

I wish.
Years ago I was sitting at a stop light . . . and a woman applying makeup hit my 1995 Chevy Blazer at a VERY high rate of speed. Bent the crap out of the frame (whole truck was "compressed" - couldn't even open the rear doors). Did they total it? NO. Instead, they put it on a "frame stretcher" . . . like I said, it never drove the same after that.

Other than a sore neck, dinged up knee, thinner wallet, and being a little "freaked out" . . . I'm fine.
Zin sounds nice (though certainly not necessary). I comforted myself with a nice bottle of Ravenswood this weekend.

okay, i hear ya,but.....
OEM hood+ paint will cost far more than a CF hood. S4/OEM S4 bumper on our black cars will not require you to have sideskirts (i didnt have any for 9 months!). you know, just trying to help out
